and the Bedford Hotel Brighton, every year we attended a function there
and it was the one time each year that I got into a DJ. Not exactly happy
to be there as you can see but I think the velvet bow tie was a nice touch.
I kept this DJ for a number of years and not only did it see service at
Brighton for a few more years but it managed a guest appearance in a perfornamce
of Rozencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. It took forever to get the white
grease paint off the collar! The suit pops up again in May 1987 but with
a much shinier tie. If I remember rightly it was purchased second hand
for something like £50 from the hire section of Paynes Menswear
just round the corner from our house in Sidcup. |
